Job Description:

The individual will help to chart the course of cutting edge high power solid state amplifier designs for commercial and military applications. The ideal candidate will be able to look at the “big picture” system needs and translate these into an actionable plan to meet the needs of our customers for multi-year programs.

Demonstrated ability to design, breadboard, test, and successfully transition to production advanced broadband multistage power amplifiers capable of watts to kilowatts is required.

Knowledge of commercially available Silicon Bipolar, LDMOS, GaAs, GaN, SiC, devices is essential. Knowledge of gain control circuitry, dc-dc converters, T/R switches, receiver protectors, power combiners, and digital control electronics is desirable.

Demonstrated competency in the use of modern simulation tools including small and large signal models is essential. Knowledge of modern test equipment including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, peak power meters, high speed pulse generators and oscilloscopes is also essential.

An ability to build and lead a cross functional team is highly desirable

Requirements:

Education: A BSEE or equivalent with a strong preference for an advanced degree

Experience : The ideal candidate preferably should have five to ten years of experience in the design and development of amplifiers operating in the range of 500 MHz to 40 GHz.
