The Director leads by setting expectations, developing plans, and managing processes that measure, assess, and improve the quality of the hospital’s, management, clinical, and/or support activities.

 

 

This position provides leadership to ensure that customers are satisfied and that their needs and expectations are met.

 

The position also ensures the achievement of financial goals, continuous quality improvement, and compliance with all accreditation and regulatory requirements, while supporting the mission, vision, values and strategic objectives of Our Medical Center.

 

This position provides leadership for ICU and ED.

 

Must have CA RN License, must have Director with Critical Care experience. Preferably with similiar size organization.

 

 

DIRECTOR OF ICU/ED Requirements:

 

 

- Masters degree is required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support -required
- RN
 

 

Unit Description:

 

ED 64 FTE and 28 beds, ICU 66 FTEs and 19 beds

Both of the above departments have managers.

 

New Specialty care Tower opened in 2006.  ED has a fast track area and we see about 130-150 patients a day.  

 

ICU was built on Planetree model with rooms having windows, sofa beds for family and a mini nurses station between two rooms for better observation and charting.
