About the Job
We are looking for a Chief Nursing Officer to join our team. This facility provides medical services to the community with 117-licensed acute care beds, a Heart Center, outpatient physical therapy and inpatient Acute Rehab Unit, inpatient and outpatient surgery and 24-hour emergency care. There are nearly 6,500 admissions, 11,000 outpatient visits and more than 18,000 emergency department visits each year. They have more than 550 employees, including nearly 300 RNs and other nursing staff. On January 1st 2010, they will be moving to a new facility.
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is a member of the Hospital Executive Team. Responsible for integration, coordination and direction of nursing and patient care within the overall operation of the hospital. Directs nursing and patient care to ensure the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care consistent with the mission, vision and values of this system and in accordance with government regulations, licensing and accreditation requirements. The CNO participates in the hospital’s strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives. The CNO promotes a culture of Service Excellence with all customer groups.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Senior Nursing leadership role within the
last 3 to 5 years.
- BSN required
- MSN or other Masters degree required
- CA RN license required
- Strong acute care nursing operations experience
- Strong physician relations skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong leadership and communications skills
- Experience with Women’s and Children’s Health is preferred
